I have took my dad and myself for the first time walked up there. I had a great time hiking on the trail. Desided to make a special trip to go up there since lake Scranton trail isn't and probably will not open anytime soon. Moosic Mountain trail is my best replacement for the lake scranton demizing refusing to open trail lol.

Nice preserve, saw several people biking. West Point Astronomy club did a Weather Balloon launch here on 22 April 2017.
LOVE IT!! There's a large area of the mountain designated for hikers and mountain bikers to enjoy. I never get bored here, since there are so many trails to choose from, and each offers unique terrain and scenery! It has one of the most awesome views of the valley around! Weather can vary and hunting is permitted in season, so you must be cautious. Definitely a favorite, and I'm so happy it's close to home!
Spent a few hours hiking here. Great if you enjoy the outdoors. Trails well marked and maintained. Very relaxing enjoyable time
